tldr: i’m looking for opinions on max size for developing muscle while staying lean-ish over the course of the next year, with specific questions at the bottom. i’ve set a goal to take a picture of myself on my 30th birthday with a sign that says “this is 30” while showing off a six-pack and decently muscular upper body. i started with metallicadpa’s ppl for a bulk and switched to bigger leaner stronger for a cut beginning in march. i know jeff is opposed to the traditional bulk/cut cycle, and i think i agree. so jeff’s version of a “bulking” program seems up my alley, but i have some questions. if the former, i count that as part of the time investment. given my “this is 30” goal and intermediate level of experience, does this sound like a good fit, or would i do better with something else?
most of them should look familiar and after a quick glance you’ll be good to go with them. for me it takes also a minute or two to calculate the proper weights. the program is scalable so you’ll always have challenges doing it. except sometimes for the finishers, there some weird yet effective movements for the finishers. so i would advise to check beforehand the finishers from varios days and do them in 1 full day at the gym so they dont take you by surprise. 7.- well you mention that you are happy with your body right now and you want a lean look but to me it seems that your “problem” is not that you feel fat or skinny just want to get leaner. regarding #7, i’m happy with the way my body is starting to look, but i’m not satisfied at this point. i’m expecting just like this year i’ll end up on a cut of sorts next spring to achieve the leanness i want.
